Bow your head, have a moment of silence, find a member of the G.I. Generation to thank on this 70th anniversary of D-Day.

From all over the world, leaders of nations, veterans, and hundreds of thousand of visitors will visit the beaches of Normandy this weekend in honor of the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.

None of America’s six living generations would exist today if this historical event had not succeeded.

Do yourself a favor and try to watch the movie “The Longest Day”.

And, in the meantime, live it through the eyes of the U.S. Army in this short video.
