If you want the cream of the Millennial crop as your employees, use your charitable endeavors as a recruiting tool!
Why?
Millennials care about others. Their lives are driven by purpose.
From a very young age, Millennials have been involved, dedicated volunteers, doing volunteer work since pre-K. And, that caring attitude has stayed with them as they matured.
It’s not surprising that they are the first generation where questions about their volunteer activity are so fundamental that they appear on college admission forms.
A WSJ article written by Noelle Knox and Maxwell Murphy lists several companies using various philanthropic outreaches to bond potential employees to their companies.
Companies who seek Millennial favor as well as their business are companies that promote Millennial values like helping others, protecting the environment, and being concerned about global conditions.
